Long overdue update

Hi friends. It's been a while.

I have been MIA from some of my platforms for quite some time, so here's an update on what's been happening here at Shine On Acres.

On October 13th we had a house fire. No one was hurt and our dogs got out safely but we did lose the juvenile falconry bird to smoke.

We decided to stay on the property because of the dogs and we've been living in a camper.

Let me tell you, I miss running water and my kitchen.

Fortunately, I've got an amazing friend who lives about two minutes down the road that lets us use her shower and do our laundry. We're so grateful for her and her husband.

Since I do not have a kitchen currently, I have halted my plans to produce herbal products. I also lost all my herbs and oils to the smoke so it'll be a while until I start that again once we're back in the house and can rebuild my collection.

Because I have this crazy need to create, I have switched my focus to leatherwork at the encouragement of my wonderful husband. He's the falconer and makes his own gear, so it was the only natural choice.

I'm currently working on opening and Etsy store for my leather items, so once I figure that out, I'll post the link to my shop.
